Government funding is designed to cover 38 weeks of term time. Because Jack and Jill’s operates year-round, we “stretch” these funded hours across 51 weeks so families benefit from a consistent monthly payment plan.
To access funded hours over 51 weeks, children must attend a minimum of 20 hours per week, which must include either a Monday or a Friday.
Our fees are calculated over the 51 weeks we are open each year and divided into 12 equal monthly payments for convenience. These payments also include bank holidays, public holidays, and inset days (when the nursery is closed), as our staffing and operational costs remain consistent throughout the year.
